Every automated production line in any enterprise has its own specifics that determine the requirements for computer equipment. Therefore, in most cases, mass-produced models designed for general demand cannot fully cover all the individual needs of a particular plant.

Indeed, why overpay for, say, 10 COM ports available in the standard configuration of an industrial computer if only 5 will actually be used in a specific workshop? Or why purchase an expensive high-performance Intel Core i7 processor when the production line can easily run on a much cheaper Intel Celeron?

By initially selecting equipment according to their specific needs, companies save a significant amount of money. After all, we are not talking about just one or two computers, monitors, or all-in-one PCs, but often about a hundred or more.
